Ride Operator

The Ride Operator is responsible for the safety of the Guests. Ensuring Guests are harness fit equipped at the Launch platform, ride the line, and are detached from the Zip Line at Base area exceeding all safety requirements. Individual ensures the Park’s Safe Workplace Policies are applied as required for Guest & Staff Safety.

Specific Duties will Include:

  1. Responsible for verbalizing the ride experience, projecting confidence and supportive of answering Guest inquiries around the ride experience.

  2. To ensure all Guests are properly fitted with their safety equipment complete with full harness, helmet and required rigging.

  3. Instruct, mentor and guide the Guest into a successful launch. 

  4. Ensure that the approved operating procedures are followed in accordance with the Zip Line Operations Manual. 

  5. Communicate with Guest Services to ensure information sharing and excellence in Customer Service.

  6. As with all positions at the Park a personal Training Log is a requirement & must be completed before operating Attractions.

  7. All Guides are required to inspections Attractions & Associated equipment using Edge Auditor a software program.

Qualifications: 

Tube Park is looking for Guides with that certain personality that promotes the Zip Line activity. Has an exceptionally high level of safety awareness and makes this experience fun for Guests as well as for fellow guides. It is desirable that the Zip Line Guide possesses interpretive skills, is a post secondary student and has experience in rope climb training or demonstrated safety supervision is of benefit.

 

The following abilities are critical to the position of a Ride Operator:

  • Realize, respect and appreciate Guest concerns with the activity

  • Develop and maintain high levels of customer service.

  • Build foster and sustain a positive public image.

  • Standard First Aid, AED & CPR an asset

 

Wage Range:

$16.00 - $16.50
